This former fishermen town has become now one of the most beautiful and inviting places in Costa Brava. The narrowing windy streets and the XIIIth century city walls shape the old village, which expands up the hill, from where we will enjoy some wonderful views of Costa Brava and its small rocky bays, as well as the hiking paths.
Tossa stands as the only example left in Catalonia of a medieval seaside village still enclosed by city-walls. The beauty of this place attracted the film industry in several occasions, turning the town into a movie set for Hollywood artists.
The people of Tossa have well kept their traditional food and recipes throughout time, taking care of local products and preserving their delicious star dish: el cim i tomba, based on fish and vegetables.
